Context and challenges
The Renault Group is a global automotive player operating in nearly 40 countries, with close to 100,000 employees and a strong ambition to transform mobility toward electric, connected, and sustainable solutions.
Within the group, the Prevention & Protection Division (D2P) is responsible for safeguarding assets, managing crises, and anticipating potential threats. Faced with an increasing variety of risks : from health crises and geopolitical tensions to cyber threats, disinformation, and supply shortages, the challenge was clear : strengthen anticipation capabilities and effectively disseminate strategic intelligence across all divisions and subsidiaries.
Implementing the monitoring system with ChapsVision
To achieve these goals, Renault decided to deploy a cutting-edge technological solution and selected Scan, one of the modules in ChapsVision’s Market Intelligence Suite.
With its extensive functional coverage and advanced features, Scan enables Renault to :
- Crawl over 14 million sources in 12 languages.
- Build customized and relevant search queries.
- Automatically tag information for optimized classification.
- Automate the delivery of targeted, business-specific newsletters.
Thanks to its user-friendly interface, adoption was swift. Proactively supported by ChapsVision’s experts, the Security Division fine-tuned its queries, reduced information noise, and ensured monitoring that was both comprehensive and highly targeted.
ChapsVision’s teams demonstrated great responsiveness and adaptability, providing tailor-made support to meet Renault Group’s specific use cases.
Proactive intelligence serving corporate security
At the core of Renault Group’s monitoring system, Scan has become the strategic solution relied upon by the Security Division to detect weak signals, anticipate emerging threats, and act before situations escalate into crises.
Each week, a structured summary of key intelligence findings is shared with nearly 600 employees. This briefing includes :
- 3 to 4 main topics covered in a concise format.
- An “In Brief” section for additional updates.
- An “International Agenda” listing upcoming events.
Observed Benefits
- Significant time savings through automation and smart tagging.
- More accurate, actionable insights delivered in real time to relevant decision-makers. Proactive detection of weak signals, providing an early advantage in crisis management.
- A strengthened Security Division, recognized for its strategic, cross-functional role within Renault Group.
Outlook
Renault now aims to go further in leveraging strategic information, with a clear ambition: fully harness the potential of artificial intelligence for pre-screening, synthesis, and forward-looking analysis.
With ChapsVision’s support, the Group intends to enhance operational efficiency, enable teams to focus on higher-value tasks, and reinforce overall resilience in the face of global risks.
