ChapsVision acquires Geotrend

ChapsVision acquires Geotrend and strengthens its position as European leader in business intelligence solutions.

ChapsVision, a leading sovereign company in the massive processing of heterogeneous data, announces the acquisition of Geotrend, the specialist in economic and strategic intelligence. The deal marks a major step forward for the group, which will create a unique market intelligence centre in Europe.

Since its creation in 2018, Geotrend has been changing the face of market intelligence by giving its customers back control of their strategy through user-friendly solutions that identify risks and opportunities and guarantee business continuity. Geotrend offers an innovative solution for collecting, analysing and mapping multi-source information, thanks to its unique business and competitive intelligence platform. Powered by artificial intelligence, Geotrend’s platform simplifies and accelerates access to all the data on ecosystems for rapid, relevant and global decision-making. It has already won over a number of CAC40 companies and major international industrial groups.

With this latest acquisition, ChapsVision now offers analysts, strategy, innovation and competitive intelligence departments the very best in market intelligence, thanks to the combination of AMI EI, Qwam and now Geotrend by ChapsVision solutions. This unique expertise enables companies to better understand their commercial environment, optimise their strategies and make more informed decisions.

“The acquisition of Geotrend completes our Market Intelligence offering. Together, we are determined to provide leading-edge solutions that will help our customers take full advantage of data to achieve their strategic objectives,” said Olivier Dellenbach, CEO of ChapsVision.

Thomas Binant, CEO and co-founder of Geotrend, said: “Five years ago, I had an idea that revolutionised the market for business and strategic intelligence solutions. Today, I’m proud to be joining ChapsVision, and thus contributing to the emergence of a leader capable of proposing a unique sovereign offering on the market”.

About Geotrend

Former engineers at Airbus Defence and Space, Thomas Binant, CEO, and Gréoire Sigel, CTO, have spent more than 10 years designing innovative solutions to meet the needs of their customers and the company’s internal teams. At the time, they identified a need to find reliable information. In 2018, this need gave rise to Geotrend and its SAAS platform.

From the outset, they had the idea of creating a tool that crawls the web using keywords entered on a simple search bar. Their solution was tested and approved: the teams divided their search time by 8, with up-to-date results ready for analysis. Convinced that Artificial Intelligence was the key to the success of their platform, they recruited their first AI expert. The young start-up then became independent of Airbus by joining Nubbo, the Occitanie regional incubator. It expanded its technical and sales teams. Thanks to values based on constant innovation, customer satisfaction and a human touch, Geotrend has won the confidence of over 25% of CAC 40 companies to strengthen their business intelligence activities.
